I think he thinks our 4-year old Border Collie mix is his mother. They cuddle; they tussle and play. Dear Mike and family, For my husband’s birthday in May, (2008), I wanted to surprise him with a Basset puppy. A lengthy search on the internet for Basset websites led me to netrancher.com, which by far, was the nicest, friendliest, informative and family based website that I had seen among all the others. Your site even included a great video clip of a litter of pups with their mother, right on your farm! It just so happened that you had a litter available for delivery ON my husband’s birthday! You were so kind to promptly stay in touch with me by phone and e-mail many times prior to the flight date by Pet Air. Our puppy arrived to us in an immaculate, ventilated crate with fresh water, food, and a comfortable bed of shredded, clean paper. The birthday surprise was a “hit” and our five children and two young grand daughters cuddled and loved her all evening. We named her “Gracey.” I told Colin that there just happened to be one baby girl left in the litter. When he saw her on your wonderful website, he was elated and said, let’s call Mike right away and I’ll give her to you for Mother’s Day! The second puppy came to us in the same safe crate as her sister did, just one week before. We named our second baby, Franny, in connection with all the freckles she sports. Our vet told us that the two sisters, Gracey and Franny, are VERY HEALTHY puppies and that they obviously came from an excellent breeder. We love our girls, (now 12 weeks old), and we thank you so very much for your tender care of them before they became a HUGE, and dearly loved part of our family. Mike, We purchased M3 a few weeks ago and could not be happier. The kids named the puppy "Slash" and are enjoying every moment with their new friend. We chose your site because of the family atmosphere that the puppies were obviously raised in. We researched hundreds of options to purchase a Basset puppy. The warmth of your family, in your home videos, led us to contact you for more information. After contacting you, we knew our next puppy would come from Netrancher.com. You were very nice and extremely accommodating. Within three days, the payment was complete and we were picking up our new puppy at the airport. When we received the puppy at the airport, he was in a travel crate with plenty of padding and sufficient supply of food. Hi Mike, I couldn't be happier with my puppy. He is the most well behaved dog I've ever seen!! Everyone is jealous of me because of Clyde. My boss encourages me to bring him into work!! He is amazingly smart and he absolutely LOVES kids and meeting new people. He is the friendliest dog ever and doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He likes to lick the faces of everyone he meets. This has got to be the first Bassett that actually likes to play fetch with a ball !! Charlie, our Basset, is hands down, the most deliciosly precious dog I think I've ever seen. When we bring him into the house, he sleeps like a log. He's the most lethargic animal in the world. And he's hilarious, belting out that trademark Basset howl if we so much as fail to pay attention to him for more then three seconds. He sleeps with one of my four children every night, and they all love him more than I ever could have predicted.Aside from that, he's also the best looking Basset I've ever seen. Freckles in all the right places, beautiful, huge paws, and a shiny, healthy coat. Hi Mike, Sorry for the slow response, as I mentioned before, I’m in the Navy and things are kinda busy right now. As far as our pup’s Rocky and Bullwinkle (Bull for short), these two characters are definitely part of our family now. They’re the best pup’s we’ve ever had in our 49 years. My wife Peggy and I couldn’t be happier with these two guys. Rest assured that they’re happy, healthy and spoiled rotten. They’ve been camping, fishing, have had their paw’s in the Gulf of Mexico and they’re not even six month’s old yet. They’re running around playing and wrestling as I’m typing this. Dear Mr. Rusell, Recently, my husband, Mike, sent photos of our Nessie but neglected to tell you about her. She became an irreplaceable part of our family the moment she stepped into our home. Nessie is smart as a whip. She did the least "puppy biting" of any basset baby we've ever had. Mike, Wow! We are so delighted with our little guy! Moe is 100% cute and very affectionate. He cuddles with us all the time and he is very calm and content. He didn't take long to potty train (about 2 weeks) and he takes naps with everyone in the family. He isn't very big, but he's growing.The vet likes him. Hi Mike, Yes, we would be happy to be a reference for you. Our baby is doing fabulous! Her name is Olivia and she's just gorgeous. She was the last puppy of a litter from last July. I was sent a short video of her playing in your yard and we just had to have her. Sending the deposit for her through Paypal was very easy and went through without a hitch. We paid the balance for her shortly before she was sent to us. We kept in constant contact as her travel day approached and she was put on the plane to us exactly when she was supposed to be. There was a delay in her arrival, which caused a bit of panic on our end. There had been bad weather midway through her trip and her connecting flight took off without her. I was upset to think that someone wasn't taking care of her or she might become lost or stolen in a strange airport, but I was assured that no one would be allowed into the area where she was being kept and she would be given food and water. Olivia arrived later that evening a little scared after her long day but she settled right in with us. She loves our children and our cats, all of which have become her "siblings" to tear around the house and yard with. She visited the vet within her first few days with us. She was 100% healthy and everyone at the vet's office just fell in love with her. She's never had a single health problem and visits the vet regularly. She's the most picture perfect Basset ever. Her coat is beautiful. Her build and proportions are perfect. She's well socialized and extremely lovable. The only thing we could hope to change is that if her supply of squeaky toys and bones isn't kept up, she knows how to break into the children's rooms and she steals their toys. There have been instances of random stuffed animal kidnappings that have ended very badly for the hostage. But we'd do it all again in a heartbeat if we had the space for another one and I've been known to check the website just in case there's a puppy that just catches my eye. Hi Mike.....We purchased a male basset from you about a year ago. Things are wonderful!! He is the sweetest healthiest dog. He has a great temperament and really funny personality. He does not have that strong hound smell that many hounds have and he does not drool at all like some bassets. It is obvious he came from good genes. Our older basset absolutely loves him and they have been best friends since the day we brought him home. Purchasing Boscoe from you was great. We came out to your farm and got to see the puppies and pick the one one we liked. You kept in touch and gave us updates until he was ready to come home with us. Hello Mr. Russell, It's me Erica. I can't thank you enough for everything. Also, to inform you that my mother passed away on Feb 14,2007. She passed from uterine cancer. She was diagnosed with it back in Dec '05. She was supposedly cured. She started having similar symptoms again in Jan"07 had a second surgery. But I'll tell you one thing all she talked about was the dog and how she wanted to get back home and take care of her baby. So again I thank you and your family for making my mother happy. Now every time I look at him I think it was meant for us to have him. The dog is doing very good. He is getting really big. He loves to chase the kids around the house as well as the cat.
